List of Accepted Papers
Preliminary Call for Papers 

Papers presenting original results from research and industrial application are welcome on the following (but not restricted to) topics: 
  • Social aspects of RE. 
  • Requirements management - evolution, change and traceability. 
  • Models for requirements capture, representation and validation - scenarios, viewpoints, etc. 
  • Formal methods - requirements specification / verification. 
  • WEB - requirements for heterogeneous / distributed developments. 
  • Software processes - requirements allocation, relationship of requirements to other software process components. 
  • Quality - metrics and models for quality evaluation / certification. 

 
The papers will be evaluated according to adequate criteria for each one of the following categories: 

 
  • Research papers:
these papers will be evaluated for their applicability and relevance to requirements engineering, originality, significance, soundness, and clarity. 
  • Industrial papers: 
short papers describing significant results and innovative approaches for industry. Also, papers describing real project difficulties, and technical and social problems faced by industry. 
  • Position papers: 
on the themes of the two special tracks:  "RE education" and  "RE industrial uptake".
There will be help for professionals to write their communications. The interested person  should refer to the web page on Writing Industrial Papers

 
Important Dates
Paper submissions: May  31st, 1999
Notification of acceptance: June  30th, 1999
Final version of accepted papers: July  30th, 1999

 
Language
The languages of WER99 are spanish, portuguese, and english. English is recommended for writing. 

 
Papers Submission
The papers should not exceed the sizes described below, including abstract, figures and references: 
  • Research papers: 16 A4 pages.
  • Industrial papers: 10 A4 pages. 
  • Position papers:     4 A4 pages. 
  • A cover page should be added containing: the title of the paper, author's affiliation and identification (address, e-mail, FAX), and the category under which the paper should be evaluated. Format instructions and a template file can be obtained via ftp:
  • Papers should be submitted, via e-mail, in Postscript, MS Word or RTF format to either:
